1. Who sells, and who refunds
Creem (Armitage Labs OÜ, Estonia) sells postkeep Cloud subscriptions as merchant of record and reseller, and Creem processes every refund. We decide whether a refund is due under this policy and ask Creem to make it.
- To ask for a refund, write to us first at [support email]. It is also at the bottom of your Creem receipt.
- If we do not resolve it, you can contact Creem through its customer portal or at creem.io/contact.
- Creem may also refund a payment within 60 days of purchase, at its discretion, to prevent a chargeback.
- Please contact us or Creem before you dispute a charge with your bank. Creem's Buyer Terms ask buyers to contact Creem first.
2. How to cancel
You never need to write to us to cancel.
- In postkeep: Settings, then Billing, then Cancel plan.
- In Creem's customer portal: open the link in any payment email from Creem, choose your subscription, then Cancel Subscription.
To confirm: (1) A cancel in Settings ends the plan at the end of the period you have paid for; you keep the paid plan until then. (2) Creem's docs say a cancel from its portal takes effect immediately, while its cancel API offers both immediate and end-of-period cancellation. If a portal cancel is immediate, postkeep should still honor the time you have paid for, and this policy should say so.
After your paid period ends, your account moves to Free. Nothing is deleted when you cancel. To confirm: Free covers 2 mailboxes; whether the rule for failed payments applies (the two oldest stay connected, the rest pause and are kept for 30 days, then their credentials are deleted after two warnings). There is no cancellation fee.
3. When you can get a refund
Maintainer decision: the plan sets no refund rule beyond the two below that are marked "plan". The draft proposes a simple rule that also covers the EU withdrawal right; change it if the maintainer prefers.
- First payment. If postkeep Cloud is not right for you, ask within 14 days of your first payment for a paid plan, and we will have Creem refund it in full. Maintainer decision
- Renewals. We do not refund a renewal that has already been charged. You keep your plan until the end of that period, and you can cancel at any time so you are not charged again. Maintainer decision
- Yearly plans (when offered). Ask within 14 days of a yearly payment for a full refund. Maintainer decision
- Mistakes. If you were charged twice, or charged after you canceled, we will have Creem refund the extra charge.
- If we stop offering postkeep Cloud. postkeep Cloud is built on the open-source postkeep server, which is MIT licensed, so you can run that server on your own machines (Terms section 14). Lawyer check: the plan sets no refund, notice period or export for this case, so this draft promises none. Decide whether the law requires a refund of unused prepaid time, and change Terms section 14 and the FAQ answer on shutdown at the same time.
- Free plan. Free costs nothing, so there is nothing to refund. Usage is never billed, so there are no usage charges to refund either.
4. Consumers in the EU and the UK Lawyer check
If you are a consumer in the European Union, you have a legal right to withdraw from a distance contract for a service within 14 days of making it (Your Europe). Creem's Buyer Terms set out how this works for purchases through Creem, with refunds made within 14 days of a valid withdrawal. Because postkeep Cloud starts as soon as you pay, the law lets a seller keep a proportionate amount for the time already used if you asked for the service to begin straight away. Our 14-day full refund on a first payment is more generous than that, so in practice you get the whole first payment back. Lawyer check: UK rules; whether an online "withdraw from contract" function is required since 19 June 2026 under Directive (EU) 2023/2673 and whether Creem's checkout or portal provides it.
5. Tax on refunds
A full refund returns the whole amount you paid, including tax. Creem handles the tax side. Card refunds usually take 5 to 10 business days to appear, according to Creem; timing depends on your bank and payment method.
6. If a payment fails
You get 7 full days of grace, and nothing is deleted. Then your two oldest mailboxes stay connected and the rest pause. Paused mailboxes are kept for 30 days; after two warnings, their credentials are deleted. Time you have already paid for is honored.
7. Your data after you cancel
Canceling does not delete your account or your data. To delete everything, delete your account in Settings: we destroy your workspace key at once, delete the rest of your data within 7 days, and backups expire within [backup window: TBD]. See the Privacy Policy for details.
8. Contact
Email [support email]. We reply to every email within 3 business days. Creem's support is in its customer portal and at creem.io/contact.
