1. Who we are and what these terms cover
These terms are an agreement between you and [seller legal name] ("we", "us"). They cover postkeep Cloud: the hosted software at postkeep.ai, your workspaces, and their MCP addresses at mcp.postkeep.ai. Lawyer check
They do not cover the open-source postkeep server that you run yourself. That software comes under the MIT License, and only the MIT License applies to it (see section 12).
Our Privacy Policy and our Refund and Cancellation Policy are part of these terms. If you buy a paid plan, Creem's Buyer Terms also apply to the payment (see section 4).
2. What postkeep Cloud is
postkeep Cloud is hosted mail-access software. It connects mailboxes you already have, such as Gmail, Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, Outlook.com, iCloud, Yahoo, Fastmail and other IMAP accounts, to AI agent apps you choose, over the Model Context Protocol (MCP).
- It does not give you a new email address.
- It does not write or generate content. Your agent app decides what to read, write and send; postkeep carries those requests to your mailbox.
- It is not a bulk-email or marketing tool.
- The website handles sign-up, payment, a simple stats dashboard and settings. Everything else happens through your agent, inside an isolated workspace with its own MCP address and key.
- Mail is not shown on the website.
- There is no reviewer and no approval step. postkeep does not read, check or approve what your agent sends.
3. Your account
- You must be at least [minimum age: TBD] years old and able to make a binding contract. If you use postkeep Cloud for an organization, you confirm that you may accept these terms for it. Lawyer check
- One free account per person.
- Keep your sign-in and your MCP keys safe. Anyone who has one of your keys can use your workspace's mailboxes through postkeep. If a key leaks, remove it in Settings and tell us.
- You are responsible for what happens under your account and your keys.
- Give us an email address that works. You can sign in with an email link sent to that address, or with Microsoft, Google or Apple. We also send account and billing notices there.
- On Business plans, the account holder is responsible for the people they invite. To confirm: Business roles
4. Plans, prices and payment
- Our plans and prices are listed at postkeep.ai/pricing. The price shown at checkout is the price you pay.
- Creem is the merchant of record. Paid plans are sold to you by Creem (Armitage Labs OÜ, Estonia) as merchant of record and reseller of postkeep Cloud. When you pay, you buy from Creem: Creem charges you, works out and adds sales tax, VAT or GST, issues your receipt, and handles disputes. Creem's Buyer Terms apply to the payment; read them before you pay. Lawyer check
- Prices exclude tax. Any tax is added at checkout and shown before you pay.
- Paid plans are billed monthly in advance, as one total for your account, and renew until you cancel. When yearly billing is offered, a year costs the same as ten months and is charged once a year.
- Your price depends on how many mailboxes your plan covers. If you add mailboxes beyond your plan through the upgrade link, your price changes. To confirm: the new total starts at your next renewal, after the test-mode run.
- If we change a price, we will email you at least [price notice period: TBD] before it applies to you. While you stay on the same plan, you keep your price. Lawyer check
5. Fair use
- Plans are unmetered: we do not bill for messages or MCP calls.
- Fair use applies. If use runs far above normal levels, we alert you first. If it keeps up, we may slow the service down for that mailbox or workspace. We never send a bill for usage.
- To confirm: whether to publish the fair-use levels. The plan's levels are 50 sends a day per mailbox on Free and 200 on paid plans, and 60 MCP calls a minute on Free and 120 on paid plans.
6. Acceptable use
You may use postkeep Cloud only with mailboxes you own or have the right to control, and only lawfully. You must not, and you must not let your agent:
- send bulk email, unsolicited email or spam, including marketing to people who have not agreed to receive it;
- connect a mailbox you do not own or do not have the right to access;
- send phishing, pretend to be someone else, or mislead people about who is writing to them;
- send malware, or use postkeep Cloud to attack, probe or overload any system;
- break any law, or the terms of your mail provider;
- use postkeep Cloud to monitor people without their knowledge;
- resell or share access to postkeep Cloud as your own service without our written agreement;
- try to reach other people's workspaces, or get around plan limits, fair-use controls or security measures;
- open extra free accounts to get around the Free plan's limits.
7. Suspension of a workspace
If we reasonably believe that a workspace is being used against section 6, puts other people at risk, or harms postkeep Cloud, we may suspend that workspace quickly, without notice first. Where we can, we act on the one workspace involved, so your other workspaces keep working. We will tell you what happened and how to respond, unless the law or someone's safety prevents it. When the problem is fixed, we restore access. For serious or repeated abuse we may close the account (section 14). Lawyer check
8. Your mail, and your agent
- Your mail is yours. We claim no rights in your messages or your data.
- You allow us to access, process and send your mail and data only as needed to run postkeep Cloud for you. For example, when your agent asks for a message, we fetch it from your provider and pass it to your agent. Lawyer check
- Message bodies are fetched when your agent asks and are not stored. We keep message IDs and metadata. The Privacy Policy explains the details.
- You control your agent. postkeep has no reviewer and no approval step, and your agent app decides whether to ask you before it sends. You are responsible for everything your agent does through postkeep, including what it sends, moves or deletes.
- Mail you receive can contain text written to steer AI agents (prompt injection). Our guide on postkeep.dev explains the risk. If you want a check before anything is sent, turn on your agent app's option to ask first. To confirm: whether to add "postkeep never treats message text as an instruction to itself".
- Your mailboxes hold mail from and to other people. You are responsible for having the right to let postkeep and your agent process it under the laws that apply to you. Lawyer check
9. Mail providers and agent apps
postkeep Cloud works with services run by other companies: your mail providers (for example Google, Microsoft, Apple, Yahoo and Fastmail) and your agent apps (for example Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, Grok and VS Code). Those companies are not parties to these terms, and their own terms apply to your use of their services. To the extent the law allows, they give you no warranties and have no liability to you under these terms. Lawyer check
A provider can change or end the kind of access postkeep uses. For example, Google removes app passwords when you change your Google password, and an administrator can turn off app passwords or block new apps for a work account. We are not responsible for those changes, but we will tell you what we know.
postkeep is not affiliated with, sponsored by or endorsed by any of these companies. Their names are trademarks of their owners.
10. If a payment fails
- You get 7 full days of grace. Nothing is deleted during grace.
- After that, your two oldest mailboxes stay connected and the rest are paused.
- Paused mailboxes are kept for 30 days. We warn you twice, and then we delete their saved credentials.
- Time you have already paid for is honored.
11. Canceling and refunds
- You can cancel at any time in Settings, or in Creem's customer portal, without writing to us.
- If you cancel in Settings, your plan stays active until the end of the period you have paid for. After that your account moves to Free. To confirm: cancellation timing, and what happens to mailboxes beyond Free's 2
- Refunds are processed by Creem. Our Refund and Cancellation Policy explains when you can get one.
- If you are a consumer in the European Union or the United Kingdom, you may have a legal right to withdraw from your purchase. The Refund and Cancellation Policy explains it. Lawyer check
12. The open-source server and the hosted software
- The postkeep server is open source under the MIT License. You may use, copy, change and share it under that license, free of charge. It sends us no telemetry.
- postkeep Cloud is hosted software built on that server. It also includes parts that are not open source, such as accounts, billing and workspaces. These terms, not the MIT License, govern your use of postkeep Cloud.
- The MIT License does not cover our name or logo. Lawyer check: the trademark check is still open.
- If you send us ideas or feedback, we may use them without any obligation to you.
13. Changes to postkeep Cloud and to these terms
- We improve postkeep Cloud over time. If we remove a feature that a paid plan includes, we will tell you at least [change notice period: TBD] in advance. Lawyer check
- We may update these terms. For a material change, we will email you at least [terms notice period: TBD] before it applies. If you do not agree, you can cancel before it takes effect. Lawyer check
14. Ending the agreement
- You can stop at any time: cancel your plan and delete your account in Settings.
- We may close your account if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms, or if the law requires it. Where it is reasonable, we will warn you first. Lawyer check
- postkeep Cloud is built on the open-source postkeep server, which is MIT licensed (section 12). If we stop offering postkeep Cloud, you can run that server on your own machines. Lawyer check: the plan sets no notice period, refund or export for this case, so this draft promises none. Decide what, if anything, to commit to, and whether the law requires a refund of unused prepaid time. Change Refund section 3 and the FAQ answer on shutdown at the same time.
- The Privacy Policy explains what happens to your data when an account ends.
15. No warranty Lawyer check
We work to keep postkeep Cloud running and secure, but we provide it "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, we make no promise that it will be uninterrupted or free of errors, or that it will suit a particular purpose. We are not responsible for your mail providers, your agent apps, or what your agent decides to do. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer law that cannot be limited by contract.
16. Limits on liability Lawyer check
To the extent the law allows: (a) we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost profits, lost business or lost data; and (b) our total liability for all claims about postkeep Cloud is limited to the amount paid for postkeep Cloud in the 12 months before the claim [liability cap for free accounts: TBD]. These limits do not apply to liability that cannot be limited by law, such as liability for fraud, or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
17. Governing law and disputes Lawyer check
These terms are governed by the laws of [governing law: TBD], and disputes go to the courts of [venue: TBD]. If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live, and you may bring a claim in your local courts where the law allows.
18. General
- These terms, the Privacy Policy, the Refund and Cancellation Policy and, for Business customers who sign one, our data-processing agreement are the whole agreement between us about postkeep Cloud.
- If one part of these terms cannot be enforced, the rest still applies.
- If we do not enforce a right straight away, we have not given it up.
- We may transfer this agreement to a company that takes over postkeep Cloud, and we will tell you if we do. You may not transfer it without our written agreement. Lawyer check
- We send notices to the email address on your account.
